NUS CARETALYST
Started in 2009, NUS Caretalyst holds close to the vision of not only opening up a platform for youths to serve and reach out to the community, but also to step up and initiate their own projects that would potentially have greater reach.
Our mission is to Educate, Encourage and Empower the community, and to help youths effect positive change, one person at a time.
CATCH+HEROES
NUS Caretalyst currently organizes a monthly project, “CATCH+ Heroes”, in collaboration with Jalan Kukoh RC. During these sessions, volunteers engage and mentor children from low-income families through themed games and team-building activities designed to impart valuable life lessons to them.
sTREET ANGELS
Another one of NUS Caretalyst’s regular projects is Project: Street Angels, which aims to express our appreciation for the unsung heroes in our community who have always been working hard in the silence to keep things in check all around - Our street cleaners, bus drivers, canteen vendors and security guards! Volunteers took time out of their busy mornings to gift care packs to our street angels, and paused for short chats to get to know them better.
