SMU CARETALYST
SMU Caretalyst is a CCA in Singapore Management University, started in 2008 with the aim of being catalysts of change in the community. Since then, we have worked with over 600 volunteers and touched more than 3,400 lives of those in need.

We hope to create a family of like-minded individuals with the heart to serve the community, who will rise up as future leaders of creativity and character through our mission of:

YOLO CAMP
One of SMU Caretalyst’s signature events is our annual community service camp - “YOLO Camp” for incoming freshmen. Packed with heartwarming and enriching community service segments, crazy telematches, and memorable friendships, YOLO camp aims to foster the spirit of volunteerism amongst attendees, encouraging them to do more for others, while bringing a whole load of fun to each attendee’s freshmen experience.
Project

Throughout the year, SMU Caretalyst runs regular community service projects. One such project is Project æ„› (Ai), which was birthed out of the desire to recognize and show our appreciation for various under-appreciated groups in Singapore, as well as the need to put ourselves in their shoes and to understand these individuals better. Over the past years, Project Ai has served migrant workers, youths with special needs, and persons with intellectual disabilities, with volunteers regularly committing their weekends to planning exciting programmes to engage and appreciate these individuals.
